School Meals
Meals are cooked in our own kitchen and served on a cafeteria basis. Children may be entitled to free meals depending on domestic circumstances. Application forms for free meals are available from the school office, (It is kept as a confidential matter if any child receives free meals). Until we receive authorisation for free meals payment must be made.
Payment for school meals must be sent in a sealed envelope, with name and class marked, on the first day of the week when meals are eaten. Payment can be made on a weekly, monthly, half-termly or termly basis. Cheques should be made payable to Cambs. County Council. School meals cost £1.90 for all pupils.
Alternatively, children may bring a packed lunch. Lunch boxes and unbreakable flasks should be clearly labelled with name and class. We ask that children take home their uneaten food and wrappings and, in the interests of safety, they do not bring drinks in cans or glass bottles.
Children are encouraged to drink plenty of water at school and all children have access to water fountains at any time during the day. Children may also bring a bottle of still water to school for their personal use, again, please make sure this is clearly labeled.
