It's Good to be Green
We have a Good to be Green Code in each class that reminds the children of the expectations in school:
How it works...
Each child has 3 cards that are kept on a class chart. Everyone begins the day on green. If a child is not behaving as they should they will get:
1. A reminder from their teacher
2. A verbal warning
3. A yellow warning card
4. A red consequence card
If a child has a yellow card they need to change their card on the chart to yellow. If a child has a red consequence card they will change their card to red and fill in a 4W's sheet in another class. The child's parents will be informed and it will be recorded on the class behaviour log.
Rewards for good behaviour...
Children can also earn privilege cards where they can choose an activity they would really enjoy such as working on the computer, extra art or PE sessions etc. Raffle tickets are also given out by all members of staff for good behaviour. At the end of each half term we will have a special assembly celebrating good behaviour by drawing one ticket from each class' raffle ticket box and giving the winner a small prize.
The children have really taken the code on board and are all working hard and enjoying the positive rewards.
